Pizza Hot Spot - Lytton, BC
The Pizza Hot Spot is the newly opened pizza shop in the village of Lytton. To enter the village you need to exit off Highway 1 either take a left (if your heading north) between Kumsheen Secondary School and the Esso or take a right (if you're heading south) just past Skihist Provincial Park. The village is small yet very pretty in the summer time. It's always filled with friendly locals.
Pacific Grill - Greenwood, BC
This summer we hopped in our vehicle and did a driving holiday into the Kootneys. Along the way we stopped for lunch in Canada's smallest city: Greenwood,BC. I had not planned on blogging about any of our meals but this was one of the two I wanted to share.
Victoria Oriental Restaurant: Dim Sum - Kamloops, BC
I've been watching the renovations of this DDE since Spring. It was a dodgy looking place for a while, and then all of a sudden there was sprucing up going on. I thought it was just getting a face lift on the outside and I totally expected it to still be dodgy on the inside...I was so wrong.
The Spot - Trail, BC
We decided to take a road trip this summer. We geocached our way through the Kootneys and found ourselves in small towns like Trail. I had not planned on blogging about any of our meals but I found two in particular that I felt needed to be shared.
**UPDATE 2014: New owners and now called the Hot Spot Diner**
**UPDATE August 2013: The Spot is up for sale.**
Amsterdam Breakfast and Lunch Original Dutch Pancakes - Kamloops, BC
Anie's Pizza & Bakery-Take N' Bake sticky cinnamon buns - Cache Creek , BC
I blogged about Anie's Pizza & Bakery previously here. She bakes these crazy good cinnamon buns; if you're there early in the day you can nab one. However, if you're too late for the ready to eat treats, Anie may have some take n' bake ones available for you to prepare at home. Yes, I was too late this day and here are my results from Anie's at home cinnamon buns. I can't recall what I paid for these but I remember they were cheap.
They come in handy twosies...
Joe's Grill - (Kitsilano) Vancouver, BC
I try not to blog about things back in the old neighbourhood, but I wanted to slide this one in. Back in my UBC years we use to eat brunch or breakfast in various diners along this stretch of 4th Avenue all the time. Ahhh, the memories... Joe's Grill has a few locations, this one is in Kitsilano. I live for breakfast foods. I can eat eggs and hashbrowns any time of the day. Joe's Grill is your typical greasy spoon, but with great non greasy food. The food here is solid; the prices are cheap compared to other decent breakfast/brunch places.

The Cutting Board Restaurant - Lytton, BC
The Cutting Board is part of the Kumsheen Rafting Resort located about 5km north of Lytton, BC. I'm suprised I'm blogging about this place as I had boycotted them due to poor service about 4 years ago*. Yeah, I can hold a grudge. Well it's 2010, and I found myself in the area and hungry. It was early enough in the day that they would still be serving breakfast, so we decided to give it another go. C'mon it has been four years; and there's been turn over in staff since then, so the service must be better...
Brownstone Restaurant - Kamloops, BC
Ah the Brownstone Restaurant. I've noticed that locals like to recommend this restaurant when "out of towners" come through Kamloops. Is it really because the food is good, or is it because there's no where else to recommend unless it's a chain restaurant?
Bonaparte Bend Winery - Cache Creek, BC
Who knew there was a winery in Cache Creek of all places. I remember a few years ago driving past the Bonaparte Bend Winery on a trip up to 100 Mile House during the winter. I finally made it back during the summer months to give it a try.
